Main Street Momence relies on a full-time professional staff to ensure that the program best serves downtown business investors and community stakeholders, while meeting the Board of Directors' ambitious annual program goals and overseeing committee actions plan implementation.
Janine Loftus serves as Main Street Momence Executive Director. A former Je Neir Elementary School teacher, she spearheaded our downtown revitalization program, which would subsequently earn a Main Street designation, in 2000. A recognized community expert in historic downtown redevelopment, Janine regularly assists other area towns with their revitalization programs. She also serves on the boards of the Momence Chamber of Commerce and the Economic Alliance of Kankakee County, and as a Landmarks Illinois regional adviser.
Mary Shanahan, a 12-year resident of Momence and retired Village of Orland Park executive assistant, joined MSM in early 2010 as a part-time office assistant. Mary also serves as a volunteer on MSM’s Economic Restructuring committee.
